NFL Fans Make Wild Card Weekend The Most-Watched Ever

NFL fans flocked to the TV in record numbers for Wildcard Weekend of the 2014 NFL Playoffs.

The four Wildcard games had an average viewership of 34.7 million viewers making it the most-watched Wildcard Weekend on record.  In addition, viewership averaged more than 30 million viewers for the fourth season in a row.

Sunday's NFC Wildcard game on Fox bought in a staggering 47.1 million viewers, good enough for the most-watched Wildcard game in history.  The last time the NFL had a telecast with more viewers was last year's Super Bowl.  The two playoff games on Sunday had an average viewership of 38.9.
