Chris "Mad Dog" Russo Signs New Deal With Sirius/XM

There were talks earlier this year that Chris "Mad Dog" Russo was going to sign off of Sirius/XM satellite radio when his contract expired.  Well, those were just talks.

Sirius/XM today has announced that Russo has agreed to a multi-year deal to remain with Sirius/XM and has an expanded role as well.

In addition to Mad Dog Unleashed, Russo will serve as SiriusXM's "baseball ambassador" and will host a new daily show on the MLB Network that will be simulcasted on SiriusXM's MLB Network Radio Channel.

Mad Dog Unleashed already airs for several hours everyday, I'm so the existing show will have it's hours trimmed to make room for the expanded role.
