Game 5 Of the ALCS - Best Thursday Night For Fox Since May

Last night's Red Sox win in close fashion during game 5 of the ALCS generated an over night rating of 6.2/11, up 22% from the 2012 NLCS on Fox and 48% higher than game 5 of the 2011 ALCS  which was also televised on Fox.

Last night is the best Thursday night for Fox since the season finale of American Idol back in May.

ABC & ESPN To Televise 90 NBA Games This Season

The curtain for the 2013-14 NBA season goes up on November 1 with a blockbuster doubleheader of Miami traveling to Brooklyn to take on the Nets and the evening concludes with the San Antonio Spurs hosting the LA Lakers.

All told, there will be 90 games televised the ESPN family of networks, including 15 exclusive telecasts.  This year on Christmas Day, ABC & ESPN will team up to televise 5 games beginning at 11am on ESPN and the last game times off at 9:30pm on ESPN.

SEC On CBS Is Putting Up Strong Ratings

Through 5 weeks of SEC football on CBS, the telecasts are averaging a rating of 4.6/10 and 7.3 million viewers, which is the highest rating ever for the SEC on CBS through the first 5 weeks.

In addition, the ratings & viewership are both up nearly 50% from this time in 2012.

ESPNU Tips Off College Basketball Friday Night

ESPNU will tip off the 2013-14 college basketball season with coverage of Midnight Madness this Friday night on ESPNU.

ESPNU will present more than 4 hours of Midnight Madness from college campuses all over the country.  There will be on campus coverage from nine basketball programs. Despite a blowout last night in Game 4 of the ALCS, it still put up an overnight rating of 5.7/10, which is up 36% from last year.

NLCS Ratings On TBS Sports Are Up 22%

The NLCS on TBS Sports continues to put up big ratings.  Ratings for the 2013 NLCS is up 22% from 2011, the last time TBS had the NLCS.  The three prime time telecasts this year on TBS have averaged 5.4 million total viewers which is up 26%.

Last night's Game 4 averaged 5.8 million viewers and had a peak rating of 4.3 between 9:30 & 9:45 Central time, which was good enough to give TBS a ratings win across all cable networks.

2013 ALCS Continues To Put Up Big Ratings

As MLB continues its March to The Fall Classic, the ALCS on Fox has been a ratings hit.  Last night's Game 3 put up an overnight rating of 3.7/8 and reached 5.6 million viewers.  This is up 37% compared to last year's Game 3 of the NLCS which too was on Fox.

Through three games, the 2013 ALCS is averaging a rating of 4.4/8 and 6.9 million viewers.  For comparison, Thursday Night Football on NFL Network 5.1/8 rating.

College Football Attracts Viewers To Fox Sports 1

Saturday afternoon's Oregon/Washington match up on Fox Sports 1 was the 2nd most watched program since the network debuted just under two months ago.  The broadcast delivered over 1.7 million viewers.

It's Another Big Week Of College Football For ESPN

ESPN's college football week gets going this week with a Sun Belt Conference game featuring Louisiana-Lafayette @ Western Kentucky, but the action gets going this weekend being highlighted with a top 5 match up featuring Florida St. @ Clemson in prime time Saturday on ABC.

Other big weekend games across the ESPN family of networks is #22 Florida @ #14 Missouri on WOI-DT (5.2), which is the SEC Network; and #9 UCLA @ #13 Stanford at 2:30pm on ESPN2.

College GameDay Returns To Clemson

For the second time in 8 weeks, ESPN's College GameDay is returning to Clemson as two top 5 ranked teams in Clemson & Florida St. square Saturday night.

It's the first time since 2007 that College GameDay has returned to the same school twice during the first 8 weeks of the season.

The Journey: Big 10 Football 2013 Debuts Wednesday

BTN's weekly behind the scenes look at Big 10 football, The Journey:  Big 10 Football 2013 has its season premiere this Wednesday Night at 6pm (CT).

The Emmy-nominated series will take fans behind the scene to focus on the players and coaches as the conference season unfolds.  The season premiere will showcase the conference's two new coaches.

Sunday Night Football Tops The Night In Ratings

No big surprise here, Sunday Night Football on NBC was the most watched show in primetime last night.  The match up between Dallas & Washington generated an over night rating of 13.5  It was an increase of  7% from the 2012 week 6 match up of Vikings vs Bears.

Game 2 of the ALCS Generates Strong Ratings

Last night's thrilling Boston come from behind winning over Detroit in Game 2 of the ALCS generated the highest league championship series for Fox since 2010.  Game 2 earned an overnight rating of 5.9/10 up 37% from Game 2 from last year's NLCS which was televised on Fox.

TBS Sports Coverage Of The NLCS Is Drawing Viewers

TBS Sports continues to roll on with the 2013 NLCS and fans are tuning in as well.  The NLCS is averaging a TV rating of 3.0 and 4.7 million viewers.  This is an increase of 50% and 47% respectively from the last time TBS televised the NLCS which was back in 2011.

SEC On CBS Puts Up Strong Ratings

Yesterday's Florida @ LSU SEC Game of the Week on CBS generated an overnight rating of 3.4/8, up 55% from last year's Alabama/Missouri telecast.

Game 1 Of The ALCS On Fox Wins The Day

Game 1 of the ALCS on Fox Sports was the highest rated sports event of the day with a 5.0/10 overnight rating.  It was the highest rated Game 1 of the ALCS on Fox since 2010.  The local ratings for Boston and Detroit were huge, generating a 21.8/42 and 26.5/44 overnight, respectively.

It will be interesting to see what Game 2 brings for ratings as it will be going head-to-head with NBC's Sunday Night Football.

Game 1 Of The NLCS Puts Up Big Ratings

TBS Sports coverage of game 1 of the NLCS between St. Louis & Los Angeles put up big ratings for TBS Sports.

Game 1 generated a 3.5 rating and 5.5 million viewers.  That is up 67% & 63% respectively from last year's Game 1 of the NLCS.
