BTN To Air 27 Big 10 Hockey Games

The Big 10 launches hockey as a conference sport for the 2013-14 school year and as expected, BTN is all over coverage for the coming season.

BTN will televise 27 Big Ten games this fall and winter.  BTN's coverage will include 8 straight weeks of "Frozen Friday" doubleheaders as well as a game outdoors at Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium.  In addition, BTN will provide coverage of the entire Big 10 tournament in March.

ESPN's "Yellow Line" Turns 15 Years Old

Twenty years ago, Fox changed how we watched sports with the addition of the "Fox Box".  Five years later, ESPN further changed how we watch football with the "yellow line" first down marker.  This latest feature to how we watch sports is 15 years old today.

NBC's Sunday Night Football Wins The Night

Despite a blowout and competition from the Emmys, NBC's Sunday Night Football easily won the ratings the other night.

The telecast Sunday night averged over 20 million viewers.  Seson to date, Sunday Night Football has been the only show on TV to exceed an average of 20 million viewers since game 7 of the NBA Finals back in June.
