ESPN announces it's NBA Playoff schedule

ESPN will look to continue it's strong ratings run in the post season as ESPN has announced that ESPN & ABC will televise up to 44 post season games, including exclusive coverage of The NBA Finals on ABC.

According to a press release, ESPN's coverage the playoffs will begin this Saturday with an Eastern Conference 1st round game with Indiana at Chicago beginning at 12pm (CT).

TNT posts big NBA ratings & announces playoff schedule

Just like the ratings for ABC & ESPN's coverage of the NBA, TNT's ratings were up this year as well.

According to a press release from Turner Sports, the 2010-11 NBA season was the highest rated season in the 27 years of the NBA airing on TNT, up 45% from the 2009-10 NBA season.

TNT will look to continue the ratings success in the post season as TNT will air over 40 playoff games.

ABC & ESPN post big NBA ratings

As the NBA regular season comes to a close and an uncertain labor future looming this Summer, NBA fans across the country were watching the NBA regular season in record numbers on ABC & ESPN.

According to a press release, ratings for the NBA on ABC is up 43% in viewership from last year, while ratings on ESPN is up 29% in viewership from last year.

NFL Network to provide 38 hours of NFL Draft Week coverage

NFL Lockout or no NFL Lockout, the NFL is proceeding with it's annual late April draft, including live coverage of the draft itself from the first to last pick on the league owned NFL Network.

According to a press release from The NFL Network, "Draft Week Coverage" beings Monday, April 25 and concludes Sunday, May 1. All total, more than 38 hours of draft week coverage will be aired on The NFL Network.

CSN Chicago to provide coverage of the Stanley Cup Playoffs

The Chicago Blackhawks open defense of their Stanley Cup Championship this week and Comcast SportsNet Chicago ("CSN Chicago") will have extensive coverage of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Partial St. Louis Cardnails blackout across Iowa

Similar to the Minnesota Twins partial blackout on Mediacom, several small tele-co providers across Iowa will be blacking out twenty St. Louis Cardnail games this year.

According to a published report, the Cardnails have moved all of their televised games to FS Midwest and those games that were on over the air last year have been carved out into a twenty game package that cable providers must pay extra for.

The blackout does not affect Mediacom, Dish Network, or DircecTV subscribers.
