Crystal Balling the rest of the NFL Schedule

Considering i'm a media nerd and that the tendencies of the local CBS and Fox affilates when it comes to their NFL selections, it's not too hard to figure out their respective NFL schedules for the rest of the year.

Yes, I realize that KDSM has a viewer choice poll, but given that Fox has the NFC and the "local NFC teams", it's not that hard to figure out the outcome of those polls. In addition, Kansas City is playing in a stand alone 3:05 game twice on CBS and in all my years of living in Des Moines, KCCI will never pass up the opportunity for the early evening news which guarantees that their 10pm newscast starts on time.

Enough rambling, here are my guesses and these are only guesses, early games are listed first and the late games follow:

Week 4:

KDSM: Detroit @ Green Bay; Washington @ Philadelphia
KCCI: Baltimore @ Pittsburgh

Week 5:

KDSM: Green Bay @ Washington
KCCI: Kansas City @ Indianapolis; Tennessee @ Dallas

Week 6:

KDSM: Seattle @ Chicago; Dallas @ Minnesota
KCCI: Miami @ Green Bay

Week 7:

KDSM: Washington @ Chicago
KCCI: Jacksonville @ Kansas City; New England @ San Diego

Week 8:

KDSM: Green Bay @ New York Jets; Minnesota @ New England
KCCI: Buffalo @ Kansas City

Week 9:

KDSM: Arizona @ Minnesota
KCCI: Miami @ Baltimore; Indianapolis @ Philadelphia

Week 10:

KDSM: Minnesota @ Chicago; Dallas @ New York Giants
KCCI: Tennessee @ Houston

Week 11:

KDSM: Green Bay @ Minnesota
KCCI: Houston @ New York Jets; Indianapolis @ New York Jets

Week 13:

KDSM: Chicago @ Detroit; Dallas @ Indianapolis
KCCI: Denver @ Kansas City

Week 14:

KDSM: New York Giants @ Minnesota
KCCI: New England @ Chicago; New York Jets @ Pittsburgh

Week 15:

KDSM: Philadelphia @ New York Giants
KCCI: Kansas City @ St. Louis; New York Jets @ Pittsburgh

Week 16:

KDSM: Minnesota @ Philadelphia; New York Giants @ Chicago
KCCI: New York Jets @ Chicago

Week 17:

KDSM: Chicago @ Green Bay; Arizona @ San Francisco
KCCI: Oakland @ Kansas City; San Diego @ Denver

Thanks alot KDSM Viewers

Because of the fan pick 'em on KDSM's website, Central Iowa NFL fans are going to be treated to a matchup of 2 winless teams mext Sunday during the 12pm game on KDSM Fox-17. In a fan poll on KDSM's website, 49% of visitors wants to watch the winless Detroit Lions and winless Minnesota Vikings next Sunday, while 21% wanted to watch the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs play host to Mike Singletary led San Francisco 49ers.

Memo to the TV execs at KCCI and KDSM, Kansas City is THE CLOSET NFL market to Des Moines.
