ESPN's ratings of the first three games of the BCS are up from last year and the trend continued with the Discover Orange Bowl.
The 2014 Discover Orange Bowl posted a rating of 6.7, up 10% from last year and averaged 11.4 million viewers which is an increase of 8% making it the most watched Discover Orange bowl in 5 years.
The first 4 BCS telecasts combined have averaged over 14.3 million viewers with a rating of 8.2%. The four game average has seen an increase in both viewers (15%) and ratings (12%). In addition, viewership on the WatchESPN app is up as well with with an average of 17 million live minutes of streaming, that is up 84% from last year.
