ESPN Gears Up For The Australian Open

The first grand slam event of the 2014 tennis season gets underway this week when first round play in The Australian Open gets underway on Sunday with 12 hours of live coverage on day 1.

ESPN will televise more than 100 hours of live coverage with an additional 500 hours on ESPN3.  Throughout the duration of the Australian Open, ESPN2 will have live coverage everyday from 8pm-6am with with afternoon coverage on a same day tape from 2-5pm.  The championship matches are set for Saturday, January 25 for the women and Sunday, January 26 for the men.
