Report: A College Football Shakeup Is Possible At ESPN

The college football broadcast roster at ESPN could potentially look much different in 2014 as it did last year.

According to Richard Deitsch at Sports Illustrated, ESPN will not renew Brent Musburger's contract when it expires at the end of the college basketball season and that Musburger is poised to be named the top announcer when the SEC Network launches this August.

In addition, Deitsch is reporting that Chris Fowler, the host of College GameDay, is the top candidate to replace Musburger as the lead college fooball announcer for ABC's Saturday night telecast.

There are several possible scenarios in play that could have Rece Davis sitting in the host chair of College GameDay and Todd Blackledge as an anaylist for the non-Kirk Herbstreit playoff semi-final and you can get a complete summary of the possible scenarios at the link above.
