CBS Sports has announced that the network has won the NFL's package of eight Thursday night telecasts. CBS Sports will televise eight early season games that will be simulcasted on the NFL Network with the remaining 8 games to be televised excursively on NFL Network.
The full slate of games will be produced by CBS Sports and their #1 broadcast team of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms will call the action for all 16 games with NFL network hosts and analysts appearing in the pregame, halftime and postgame shows. This agreement is for the 2014 NFL season with the option of the NFL for 2015.
