ESPN plans wall-to wall coverage of NCAA Tournament previews

The ESPN Family of Networks and digital/mobile platforms may not have the TV rights to the NCAA Basketball Tournament, but that won't stop the worldwide leader from providing wall-to-wall coverage of tournament preview shows from "Selection Sunday" through the first Friday of the tournament.

According to a press release from ESPN, over 70 hours worth of programming will be devoted to previewing the tournament including interviews with every participating head coach, bracket breakdowns, and debating who should have been in the tournament field and who shouldn't be in the tournament field.

Some highlights for "Selection Sunday" coverage include:

*A two-hour College GameDay Driven by State Farm will begin at 10am (CT) on ESPN2 and continue on ESPN at noon. Host Rece Davis, analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps, Hubert Davis and Dick Vitale (via satellite), and ESPN.com Bracketologist Joe Lunardi. will preview the day’s conference championships and discuss who could be in and out of the Tournament, as well as potential bracket seeding.

*In addition to reporting on the latest sports news, the 5pm (CT) SportsCenter – which will hit air at 4:50 pm (CT) – hosted by Dari Nowkhah and Steve Bunin, will provide up-to-the-minute updates of the Tournament selections with GameDay host Rece Davis and analysts Bilas, Hubert Davis and Phelps evaluating the brackets shortly after they are announced. Vitale will also contribute (via satellite).

*Bracketology Presented by Staples at 6pm(CT) on ESPN will include extensive, in-depth analysis of the bracket in each region.
