The Chicago Cubs just may have the largest presence on radio in Iowa. The National League Central team has released their 2011 radio network affiliates and 13 Iowa radio stations will be broadcasting Cubs baseball in 2011, in addition radio stations out of Omaha and Vermilion, SD with signals reaching into Iowa will broadcast Cubs baseball. Also, the flagship radio station of the Cubs Radio Network is WGN (AM 720) out of Chicago and their daytime signal blankets most of Eastern Iowa and the night signal covers most of Iowa.

The affiliate listing above was taken from the Cubs radio website and each game broadcast is subject to local preemption due to coverage of local high school sports or other sports coverage. Due to FCC regulations, many AM radio stations have to reduce their power at sunset and because of this, radio coverage of the Cubs on AM radio stations could be effected.
