Dish Network & Walt Disney Reach Long Term Carriage Agreement

The big news this week in the sports media world was the announcement yesterday that Dish Network and Walt Disney announced a multi-year agreement that will keep Disney owned channels on Dish Network for the next several years as well as the announcement of several sports channels.

As part of the Agreement, Dish Network will has picked up the SEC Network that will air nationwide in Dish Network's America's Top 120 package and higher when the network launches later this summer.  In addition, at a date later to be announced, the highly controversial Longhorn Network will also be added to Dish Network's America's Top 120 package and higher, making it the first full national carriage of Longhorn Network.

Also coming to Dish Network will be ESPN's Goal Line and Buzzer Beater channels which offer whip around coverage of college football and basketball games across the ESPN family of networks.  ESPNU and ESPNews in HD will return to Dish Network and Dish Network subscribers will have access to the WatchESPN App.
