ESPN Sees An Increase In College Basketball Viewership

ESPN has seen a significant growth in men's college basketball viewership two months into the season (through January 9).

ESPN has averaged 1.3 million viewers with an average rating of 0.9, the viewership is up 25% from last year's one million and ratings are up 13% from last year's 0.8 rating.

To date, the three major ESPN platforms (ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU) have televised a combined 249 games with an average viewership of 413,000, good enough for a 4% increase over last year.

ESPN's most watched game of the season to date was then No. 2 Michigan St's. win over then No. 1 Kentucky with just over 4 million viewers and a 2.6 rating making it ESPN's most-watched non conference game ever.
