As ESPN continues to make its mobile applications to more and more users, the number of minutes streamed and users as well continues to rise.
Last month, ESPN Digital Media generated a staggering 8.2 billion minutes of usage in October, the largest ever for a sports category property in any given month. In addition, ESPN Digital Media record 67.7 million visitors, 2nd ever for visitors and accounted for 34% of all sports categories across various digital platforms.
Some additional numbers:
*Nearly 40 million people used ESPN mobile properties for 3.9 BILLION minutes in October.
36%, over 24 million people used their smartphones and tablets exclusively to access content and 47% of all time came from mobile devices.
As the number of cord cutters continues to rise, i'm sure these numbers would be even higher if ESPN found someway to let non-cable or satellite users have access to WatchESPN.
