NBC to tape delay all 10 hours of Saturday's Ryder Cup Coverage

Looks like NBC is pulling a card out of their Olympic bag of tricks and will air all 10 hours of Saturday's Ryder Cup Coverage on a tape delayed basis. It's not like the Ryder Cup ranks right up there with Olympic coverage. NBC is able to show the Wimbledon finals live and ESPN shows all rounds of the British Open live, so why not The Ryder Cup? In this information age, who is going to want to sit down and watch golf coverage that is 10 hours old?

BTW, ESPN is airing Friday's Ryder Cup coverage live from 1:30 am-12pm (Central) and will immediately rebroadcast the round in it's entirety. Seriously, 20 solid hours of golf?

Perhaps when Comcast takes over NBC and the Ryder Cup remains on NBC, something can be done so that The Ryder Cup airs live on one of the NBC owned cable networks.

Question is, with it being a college football Saturday, will anyone notice that The Ryder Cup is this weekend?
