Over the weekend, NBCSN began it's multi-year coverage of English Premier League Soccer. While not madly popular in Central Iowa, according to a press release from NBC Sports, ratings were up 67% from last year's season debut
In addition, an impressive 4,000,000 minutes worth of English Premiere League action was streamed by PC's and mobile devices by the NBC Sports Live Extra app.
It will be interesting to see what kind of ratings the English Premiere League will receive as we get into football season. In previous years, when televised by the ESPN family of networks, English Premiere League played second fiddle to college & NFL football.
